Avery 5160 alignment guide

Label printing is mostly about avoiding printer scaling and doing a quick test print.

Checklist

  1. Export in the Avery 5160/8160 format.
  2. When printing, set Scale to 100% / “Actual size” (do not fit-to-page).
  3. Print a test page on plain paper.
  4. Hold the test page behind a label sheet up to a light to confirm alignment.
  5. If it’s off, check printer settings for margins, borderless mode, or auto scaling.

Common fixes

  • Turn off “Fit to printable area”
  • Disable “Auto rotate and center” if it shifts your page
  • Try a different PDF viewer (Chrome vs system viewer) if scaling differs

Next step

Run a small test export (30 labels) and verify alignment before printing a full batch.
