Avery 5160 alignment guide
Label printing is mostly about avoiding printer scaling and doing a quick test print.
Checklist
- Export in the Avery 5160/8160 format.
- When printing, set Scale to 100% / “Actual size” (do not fit-to-page).
- Print a test page on plain paper.
- Hold the test page behind a label sheet up to a light to confirm alignment.
- If it’s off, check printer settings for margins, borderless mode, or auto scaling.
Common fixes
- Turn off “Fit to printable area”
- Disable “Auto rotate and center” if it shifts your page
- Try a different PDF viewer (Chrome vs system viewer) if scaling differs
